They say diamonds are forever...

Did you know you can get a diamond created from the remains of a loved one either using the carbon from their cremated ashes, a lock of their hair or both?

  1. Radical concept. Is it just me or does that seem a little creepy?

  2. Personally I find the concept a little creepy as well but I also find it understandable why it might appeal to people. I think LifeGem offers people a means to maintain a connection with a lost loved one in a very immediate, everyday sense. You do not have to go to a cemetery for example to visit them but can take part of them with you in your everyday life. I think this also provides a sense that the deceased person is 'living on' by enabling them to participate in your life at least in the sense of being 'present.'

  3. I think this is really neat! It seems less eerie to me than to keep an urn of ashes on the mantel, for instance. It's an innovative way to symbolize a loved one in an object that is also something you'd actually enjoy keeping.
